Mercado Pago

Mercado Pago is Mercado Libre’s payments and financial services platform. It enables businesses of any size to accept payments online and in person via card, bank account and QR code.

It was founded in Argentina and operates in several Latin American countries, including Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay. Waitry and Mercado Pago are integrated so that you can receive payment for your orders directly into your own account.

The customer pays however they like and the money goes straight into your account. With Waitry and Mercado Pago, you’ll have the same takings across all your channels, with no need for manual reconciliation when closing the till.

Do I need a Mercado Pago account?

Yes. The integration uses your own account: you authorise Waitry to receive payments into it, and the money goes into that account.

Do I need to upload codes or technical data?

No. The connection is made via a Mercado Pago authorisation window. Just make sure your browser allows pop-ups.

How much does Mercado Pago charge for each payment?

Fees and processing times are set by Mercado Pago depending on your account type. You can check these in your Mercado Pago dashboard.
